Dads Philosophy Blog

The blog which gives boldness and confidence, and shares pieces of wisdom!

It’s about balance;-)

Structure

Here you will find inspiration and food for thought sorted by discipline or topic.

  • Since everything is interconnected, the order does not matter. Start reading what interests you the most.
  • Striving for comprehensibility, no section is longer than 3-5 min reading time (so you can read even while brushing your teeth). If you are looking for more information & food for thought, please send me an email (see imprint) and I will be happy to send you book recommendations for further reading. Or alternatively, download the app Blinkist on your smartphone or computer and choose your area of specialization, then you will get a free book summary to listen to or read every day.
  • In the same way, I will critically review the sections every year and add to them according to new insights, experiences and feedback received.

I’m glad if there is something useful for you!

About me

Hi, I am Andreas, father of a six year old boy (born 2017). In my blog I write regularly about values, role models and much more. For those who are new to this site just select the appropriate subheadings under „Blog“.

My blog is not a parenting guide. Rather a philosophical impulse generator, it contains thought-provoking impulses from the perspective of a father who earns his living as an engineer and passionately pursues the understanding of what constitutes successful togetherness.

Someone who believes in a world of justice and balance that requires cooperation and is therefore interested in how he himself can live up to his responsibility as a father and fellow citizen and is happy to share his thoughts and experiences, knowing fully well that he himself will never stop developing, learning and understanding the world😊.

I was influenced by the Boy Scouts and the experiences I had there („learning by doing“/ not overtaxing the individual / taking care of each other / respect for nature and much more). To better understand the interrelationships and the background for successful cooperation, I studied philosophy, politics and economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich while working.

About confidence

“Even behind a cloudy sky there is a bright sun” I once read on a postcard – what an apt image for confidence. I took a month break to write about something fundamental today. A topic that particularly highlights the interactions in human life, because I am convinced that everything is somehow interconnected, that humans/humanity/nature …
