About me

My name is Andreas, and I am the father of an eight-year-old son born in 2017. I regularly write about values, role models, and much more. I am interested in substance, not quantity. To keep the overall scope manageable, I update the chapters annually, incorporating new insights and findings without making them too long.

My blog is not a parenting guide but rather a source of inspiration for reflection and discussion. It contains food for thought from the perspective of a father who works as an engineer in a management position — currently as mayor and head of the technical department in Weinheim — is passionate about successful cooperation.

I believe in a just and balanced world, but it is not a „sure-fire success“ and requires personal cooperation. Therefore, I am interested in how I can live up to my responsibilities as a father and citizen. I am happy to share my thoughts and experiences on this topic, knowing that I will never stop developing, learning, and understanding the world😊.

I was influenced by the Scouts and the experiences I had there: “Learning by doing,”/ not overwhelming individuals / looking out for one another / respect for nature, and much more.
In order to better understand the connections and background for successful cooperation, I completed a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics at LMU (Ludwig Maximilians University) while working.

You can find my thoughts on values, role models, etc. on Instagram.
